Torchlight rally in Muzaffarabad on eve of Right to Self-Determination Day
Muzaffarabad, : A torchlight rally was held in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, today on the eve of Right to Self-Determination Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir branch in which a large number of people participated.
The Kashmiri people observe Right to Self-Determination Day on January 5 every year because the United Nations had passed a resolution on this day, recognizing the right to self-determination of Kashmiris.
The torch-bearer rally was led by Advocate Pervez Ahmed, General Secretary of APHC-AJK, while Hurriyat leaders Syed Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Raja Khadim Hussain, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Zahid Safi, Nazir Karnai, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Uzair Ghazali and Usman Hashim also participated in the rally.
