APHC-AJK leaders meet AJK PM, reiterate commitment for right to self-determination

Muzaffarabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter delegation led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi today met with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting called upon the international community to play its role in giving the Kashmiri people their birthright to self-determination.

It was agreed that there can be no lasting peace in the region without giving the Kashmiris their fundamental right to self-determination.

The members of the Legislative Assembly present on the occasion declared their unwavering support for the restoration of the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people and protection of their identity.

The freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people was appreciated and their sacrifices were paid tribute.

On the occasion the atrocities and serious human rights violations committed by India against the Kashmiri people were condemned.

The international community was appealed to play its role for the right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people and take steps to resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions.

The meeting was attended by APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, Sheikh Abdul Majid, Syed Manzoor Ahmed, Raja Khadim Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Syed Gulshan Ahmed, Nazir Karnai, Abdul Majeed Mir, Abdul Hameed Lone and Uzair Ghazali.
