Fire breaks out in Srinagar, two firefighters injured
Srinagar: A fire erupted in a residential-cum-commercial building in the Rajouri Kadal area of Srinagar, leaving two firefighters injured during the firefighting operation late evening.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials reported that the Fire and Emergency Services personnel arrived at the scene to combat the flames. During the operation, two firefighters sustained injuries and were rushed to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
The firefighting operation is still underway, and officials are working to prevent the fire from spreading further.
Earlier in the evening, another fire incident was reported in Nawakadal, where a room on the first floor of a three-story residential house caught fire.
The causes of both fire incidents are under investigation.
