Protests outside DC office in Kupwara over Neglect of basic facilities
Srinagar: A protest demonstration was held against the authorities’ anti-people policies in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest was led by Awami Itehad Party (AIP) leader and MLA Langate, Khurshid Ahmad. The protesters gathered outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kupwara, highlighting the occupation regime’s failure to address the basic needs of the local people.
The protesters said that the authorities were neglecting the essential services, citing a recent incident where a damaged transformer disrupted water supply in a village. Despite multiple meetings and assurances from officials, no concrete action was taken to resolve the issue.
The protesters demanded accountability and immediate action against the departments concerned, holding them responsible for the persistent lack of services. They emphasized the urgent need to restore basic amenities and alleviate the suffering of Langate residents.
The residents voiced their frustration over prolonged administrative indifference to the sufferings of the locals.
