APHC-AJK chapter senior leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in s statement in Islamabad demanded of the world leaders and the UN Secretary General to implement the World Body resolutions about plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir for permanent peace in South Asia.
He said failure to implement the relevant resolutions on Jammu and Kashmir in the past decades not only led to tension and battles in the region, but also made the life of the Kashmiris miserable economically, politically and socially.
Farooq Rehmani stated that India’s continued violations and dismemberment of the territory in 2019 are the stumbling blocks in implementation of the UN resolutions and human rights atrocities have added fuel to fire. Therefore, he added, the SC should shoulder its responsibilities and compel India to cooperate on the issue of plebiscite with the UN to remove the causes of conflict and bitterness permanently in the region.
