Delhi’s garbage dumped in Muslim areas, no development: Owaisi

AIMIM chief describes AAP, BJP as two sides of same coin with RSS roots

New Delhi: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi has condemned the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for its discriminatory practice of dumping garbage in Muslim-dominated areas of New Delhi while neglecting their development needs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Owaisi, in a media interview, described the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as two sides of the same coin, sharing a common ideological ancestor in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

He criticized AAP for its hollow claims of progress, asserting that schools and clinics promised in these areas remain non-existent.

“In Delhi’s Muslim-majority assembly constituencies, garbage is being dumped. No clinics or schools have been built, and there has been zero development,” Owaisi stated. He labeled AAP’s claims of building schools and hospitals mere “drama.”

Owaisi went on to criticize both AAP and the BJP, stating that they share the same ideological roots in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “The RSS is the mother of both BJP and AAP. RSS created the Jan Sangh, which later became BJP in 1980. AAP, formed in 2012-13, is another lab-grown Hindutva experiment,” Owaisi was quoted as saying by PTI.

The AIMIM leader also announced his party’s intention to contest elections in the national capital, positioning itself as a challenger to both AAP and BJP.

In his remarks, Owaisi targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for sending a “chadar” (sacred offering) to the Ajmer Dargah, pointing out the hypocrisy of the BJP and Sangh Parivar. “On one hand, they send a chadar to Ajmer Dargah, and on the other, they go to courts claiming Khwaja Ajmeri Dargah is not a Dargah,” he said, criticizing the double standards of the ruling party.
