Kashmiri refugees thank govt, armed forces of Pakistan for supporting Kashmir cause

Muzaffarabad: Kashmiri refugees in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, have thanked the government of Pakistan and the armed forces for their full support and assistance in the struggle of Kashmiris for securing the right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Kashmiri refugees at a meeting held in Muzaffarabad under the chairmanship of Nayeem Sajjad, President of the “Kashmir Refugee Care Council” said that despite adverse conditions and difficulties, Pakistan stands side by side with the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and is fully representing them at international forums.

The meeting said the Kashmiri people have great love and affection for Pakistan, which came into existence on the basis of the Two Nation Theory, and joining Pakistan is their long-pending dream.

The meeting said India has occupied a large part of Jammu and Kashmir by force and the Indian forces are resorting to atrocities against the Kashmiris to suppress their voice for freedom.

The participants of the meeting said the people of the territory are making great sacrifices for freedom from Indian rule, which will definitely bear fruit one day.

The meeting urged India to withdraw its troops from occupied Jammu and Kashmir and give the Kashmiris their birthright to self-determination.

On this occasion, they raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Go India Go Back”.

The meeting urged the government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to expedite the work of permanent settlement of the refugees.
