Islamabad: For over seven decades, Pakistan has been a powerful and steadfast supporter of the Kashmiris’ just cause for freedom and self-determination.
A report released by Kashmir Media Service said that the people of Pakistan stand united with Kashmiris in their struggle against Indian tyranny, and the sacred cause of Kashmir’s liberation remains deeply embedded in the hearts of every Pakistani.
From the very beginning, the report said, Pakistan has consistently supported the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, advocating for the fulfillment of their legitimate aspirations under international law. Islamabad has been a vocal advocate on global platforms, raising the issue of Indian atrocities in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) at every available forum, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and other international bodies. Pakistan has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal persecution faced by Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, human rights activists, and innocent civilians under Indian occupation.
The report maintained that Pakistan’s unflinching support for Kashmiris has been a source of immense moral and emotional strength for the oppressed people of Kashmir. The constant reaffirmation of solidarity by Pakistan’s leadership serves as a reassuring message that Kashmiris are not alone in their fight for justice. Pakistan’s resolute backing provides a soothing balm for the wounds inflicted on the Kashmiri people by years of Indian military aggression and oppression, the report noted.
“Pakistan’s unwavering stance on the Kashmir dispute is not just a political commitment, but a reflection of the deep-seated solidarity between the peoples of Pakistan and Kashmir. Supporting the Kashmiris is not just a political or diplomatic matter; it is a stand for justice, human rights, and the protection of basic freedoms”.
