JKSDMI delegation briefs UK deputy speaker on IIOJK situation
Bradford: A delegation of JKSDMI led by Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain met Judith Cummins, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, and briefed her about the latest situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, Raja Najabat Hussain briefed the Deputy Speaker on the JKSDMI’s strategy to intensify lobbying efforts, particularly with newly elected Labour MPs in the UK Parliament. He mentioned the success of their ongoing lobbying campaign and how they were strengthening ties with new friends in the British Parliament, to raise awareness of the Kashmir issue and the atrocities committed by Indian forces in IIOJK.
Judith Cummins acknowledged the significant role of JKSDMI in mobilizing political and community support and reaffirmed her commitment to democracy, the rule of law, and the right to self-determination for Kashmiris. She praised JKSDMI’s continued engagement with Labour Party politicians and promised her support for their ongoing efforts in Parliament.
