Kashmir Solidarity Day: Pakistan PM, COAS express solidarity with occupied Kashmir

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General  Syed Asim Munir  have expressed full solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

PM Shahbaz speaking at a federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad stated that Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed with national fervor. He emphasized that Pakistan stands with its Kashmiri brothers in their struggle for freedom, and from Khyber to Karachi, the people of Pakistan will display their solidarity with the Kashmiris.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Armed Forces also expressed their solidarity with the Kashmiri people on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. The Corps Commanders Conference, held in Rawalpindi, strongly condemned India’s continued human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, calling them a serious threat to regional peace and stability. The participants of the conference reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The forum also emphasized the importance of international cooperation to address the ongoing violations of UN Security Council resolutions. The conference took strong notice of the recent reckless and provocative statements made by Indian military leadership, labeling them as irresponsible and harmful to regional stability.

Addressing the forum, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir stated that the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and India’s hollow statements reflect their growing frustration. He pointed out that such statements are made to divert attention from internal turmoil in India and the ongoing human rights violations. General Munir assured that Pakistan would respond to any provocation with full force.

The participants of the conference paid tribute to the unwavering sacrifices made by the Pakistan Armed Forces, law enforcement agencies, and other martyrs for the peace and stability of the motherland.
