Indian troops involved in serious HR violations in IIOJK: Chaudhry Latif Akbar

Muzaffarabad: Acting President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and speaker AJK legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar has stated that the Indian troops are involved in serious human rights violations under state sponsorship in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Chaudhry Latif Akbar made these remarks while addressing a ceremony at the President’s House in Muzaffarabad. He emphasized that there is no human rights issue in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, as legislation has been enacted to prevent individual violations, and it is now necessary to implement these laws effectively.

However, he pointed out that the Indian military in occupied Kashmir is deeply involved in large-scale human rights abuses, and there should be accountability for these actions. The ceremony at the President’s House was held to honor Kashmiri youth Chaudhry Jameel, who secured third place in the Asian Taekwondo Championship, and individuals who have contributed to the promotion of human rights in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
