Indian BSF constable goes missing from Srinagar

Srinagar: An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) constable, deployed in Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has gone missing, prompting a massive search operation by forces in the area.

According to Kashmir Media Service, constable Sugam Chaudhry, 24, serving with ‘C’ Company of the 60th Battalion BSF, was found to be absent without leave from the battalion headquarters at Panthachowk yesterday.

Despite intensive searches conducted by specially assigned BSF teams in the vicinity, including Panthachowk bus stand, taxi stand, and Srinagar railway station, no trace of the missing constable has yet been found. Officials said a missing report has been lodged at the Police Station, Panthachowk, as part of formal procedures.
