War-like situation prevails in IIOJK as India Intensifies atrocities
Srinagar: A war-like situation has emerged in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) amid continued atrocities, cordon and search operations, and the heavy deployment of Indian forces, operating with impunity under black laws.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, since the unilateral revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A on August 5, 2019, the occupied territory has witnessed a dramatic escalation in violence, extrajudicial killings, arbitrary arrests, destruction of properties, and harassment of the Kashmiri people.
The BJP-led Indian government’s repressive actions have turned IIOJK into one of the most heavily militarized zones in the world, with close to one million Indian forces’ personnel deployed across the territory. Indian intelligence and investigative agencies, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA( and State Investigation Agency (SIA), are being widely used to intimidate and silence dissenting voices, in a bid to stifle the Kashmiri people’s legitimate struggle for right to self-determination.
These brutal actions are in flagrant violation of international human rights laws and have further exacerbated the already volatile situation in the territory.
Analysts and observers, monitoring developments in IIOJK, have called upon the international community to urgently intervene and protect the oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and hold the Modi regime accountable for its actions.
