Pakistan's Support to Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir is inseparable from Pakistan: Rana Qasim Noon

Islamabad: Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, has reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan in every respect, asserting that Islamabad has fought three wars for Kashmir and stands ready to fight again if necessary.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Rana Qasim Noon expressed these views while addressing a seminar organized by the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS) in Islamabad. He emphasized that durable peace in the region is impossible without the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

Other speakers at the seminar included Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defence, Fattah Ullah, former AJK minister Farzana Yaqub, and Hurriyat leaders Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Abdul Hameed Lone.

Rana Qasim Noon said Pakistan has consistently supported the Kashmir cause politically, diplomatically, and morally, reiterating that “Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan.” He said that India was trying to alter the demographic composition of IIOJK and noted that no region in the world is as heavily militarized as Kashmir. He said that today, the world is increasingly speaking out in favor of Kashmiri rights. He also said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has staged false flag operations like Pulwama and Pahalgam to malign Pakistan. After the Pahalgam incident, he noted, Pakistan offered all kinds of assistance for investigations, an offer India refused.

He paid tribute to Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for humbling Indian arrogance and lauded the Pakistan Air Force for achieving aerial superiority, which, he noted, is now analyzed globally.

Addressing the seminar, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defence, Fattah Ullah, said Pakistan has always prioritized peace, and the return of Indian pilot Abhinandan was a gesture of goodwill.

Former AJK minister Farzana Yaqub stated that Pakistan has stood by Kashmir even in the most difficult times and fought wars for the cause. She drew a parallel between Kashmir and Palestine, saying both continue to resist oppression. She criticized India’s use of delaying tactics and said New Delhi invokes the UN only when it begins to lose.

Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Mateen recalled that Quaid-e-Azam called Kashmir Pakistan’s jugular vein, and reaffirmed that Kashmiris identify themselves as Pakistanis. Occupied Kashmir has been turned into the world’s largest prison, he added.

Abdul Hameed Lone said India is committing genocide in occupied Kashmir, and reiterated that Pakistan, having fought three wars with India over Kashmir, will never abandon the Kashmiri people.
