Sikh community terms India’s release of flood water in Kartarpur as water aggression
Amritsar: The Sikh community has termed India’s release of flood water in Kartarpur as water aggression.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kalvendra Singh Cheema, leader of Shiromani Akali Dal, Amritsar, a Sikh organization, has strongly condemned India’s sudden release of water in Kartarpur, terming it as water aggression.
In a video message, he said that India knew that the holy place of Sikhs, Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur, is located across the river, yet water was deliberately released to damage the holy religious place of Sikhs.
He said many rooms of the Gurdwara have been filled with five feet of water, which is not only an insult to the religious freedom of Sikhs but also to their sentiments.
Kalvendra Singh Cheema termed India’s recent “Operation Sindoor” a complete failure, saying that the Indian army tried to attack the holy place of the Sikhs in Lahore, but the Pakistan Army thwarted this aggression.
He thanked the Pakistan Army and said that this attack was based on insulting the Sikhs, which was not allowed to succeed. He said India has been continuously taking heinous steps against the Sikhs. He said in 1984, the Indian army attacked Darbar Sahib with tanks and cannons, bombs were dropped on Kartarpur in 1971 and in recent days, India has attacked Nankana Sahib with drones.
According to him, now India is targeting holy places using weapons like water. India has desecrated Guru Nanak Kartarpur by committing water aggression.
Kalvinder Singh Cheema said, “We are neither Indians nor is this country ours. They are attacking us, and now it is time for us to intensify our efforts for the freedom of Khalistan.”
