Condolence reference in Bagh: APHC-AJK urges youth to expose Indian atrocities in IIOJK
Bagh: APHC-AJK Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Butt urged youth to step forward and expose ongoing Indian atrocities and grave human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) before the international community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, he was addressing a condolence reference held in Bagh, Azad Kashmir, on the death of migrant leader Chaudhry Abdul Hamid. Paying rich tribute, Butt said the late leader rendered exemplary services in the rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants, as well as healthcare and education. He said that the courage, resilience, and steadfastness of the Kashmiris are a source of pride, as they continue to stand firm against India despite being unarmed. He added that although mountains of oppression were inflicted and vast resources spent to break their resolve, Kashmiris neither bowed, nor halted, nor sold their conscience.
Warning of grave threats to Islam, Muslim identity, and the collective character of Muslims in IIOJK, Butt said India is systematically pursuing an agenda to erase Jammu and Kashmir’s Muslim identity and convert it into a Hindu state—an open violation of international law, UN resolutions, and fundamental human values. The Hurriyat leader praised the Government of Pakistan’s efforts on the Kashmir dispute and urged it, as a benefactor, advocate of the Kashmiri people, and a party to the dispute, to further intensify its political and diplomatic efforts to counter India’s illegal and unconstitutional actions.
The condolence reference was attended by Hurriyat leaders, political and social figures, migrant representatives, local elders, civil society members, and a large number of youth. Prayers were offered for the elevation of the late Chaudhry Hamid’s ranks, his forgiveness, and patience for the bereaved family.
Former minister Sardar Mir Akbar Khan, Hurriyat leader Syed Gulshan Ahmad, Muslim Conference leader Mushtaq Nair, renowned lawyer Manzoor Ahmad Advocate, Chaudhry Haq Nawaz, Javed Arif Abbasi, Sardar Aftab, Malik Aftab, Sardar Iftikhar, Muhammad Latif Lone, Irshad Ahmad Butt, Chaudhry Ishfaq, Aksir Ahmad Awan, Muhammad Shafi Kashmiri, Farooq Ahmad Butt, Mujahid Raza, Mohsin Aziz, and other notables also addressed the gathering.
