Fire erupts in Indian paramilitary barrack in Srinagar

Srinagar: A fire broke out at a single-storey barracks and adjoining store rooms of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed near Srinagar city of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said the fire broke out on Thursday late night at the barracks of 246 Battalion CRPF and fully engulfed the single-storey concrete barrack and adjoining store rooms.
The CRPF barracks suffered extensive damage. The preliminary assessment suggests that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit, though officials said the exact cause would be ascertained after a detailed investigation.
