Indian forces kill five people including two women in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Indian forces’ personnel killed five people, including two women, in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Odisha state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, they were killed by Indian forces’ personnel of Border Security Forces, Central Reserve Police Force, Special Intelligence Wing (SIW) and Special Operations Group (SOG) units during a cordon and search operation in the Chakapad- Rambha areas of Kandhamal district of the State.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Indian forces also killed two people named as Adivasi by a mobile SOG personnel from Kotgarh area.
Adivasis and Tribes are indigenous communities (the term means “original inhabitants”) in India, many of whom live in poverty in mineral-rich forest areas.
The human rights activists have frequently criticized the Indian government’s operations, saying innocent Adivasi civilians are often falsely labelled as Maoists, arrested without trial, and sometimes killed in staged encounters.
