Event under Pasban-e-Watan Welfare Foundation expresses solidarity with Kashmiris

Rawalpindi: A dignified ceremony was organized under the auspices of the Pasban-e-Watan Welfare Foundation in Rawalpindi in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, among other the event was attended by the wife of jailed Hurriyat leader Muhammad Yasin Malik, Mishaal Hussain Malik; Vice President Friends of Kashmir and Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone and President Pasban-e-Watan Shehzad Dilawar along with a large number of political and social leaders and activists.
Speakers at the event said that the Kashmiri people have been facing Indian oppression and brutality for decades but remain steadfast in their resolve. They reaffirmed that the Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will continue to extend full moral, political, and diplomatic support to their just freedom struggle.
Addressing the gathering, Mishaal Hussain Malik said the Kashmiri people are writing a long history of sacrifices and urged the international community to take notice of grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. She said Yasin Malik and other Hurriyat leaders are enduring prolonged imprisonment, but the freedom movement cannot be crushed.
Abdul Hameed Lone said the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle until the realization of their right to self-determination, adding that the bond between Pakistan and Kashmiris is rooted in faith, history, and shared sacrifices.
Other speakers paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir and reiterated their resolve to continue supporting the freedom struggle until it reaches its logical conclusion. Special prayers were also offered for the martyrs and for the liberation of Kashmir at the conclusion of the ceremony.
