Indian BSF convoy truck catches fire in Manipur; ammunition explodes

Imphal: An Indian Border Security Force (BSF) convoy vehicle caught fire in the violence-hit BJP-ruled state of Manipur.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a BSF vehicle in Imphal West district triggered multiple explosions after ammunition onboard were engulfed in flames.
As the fire intensified, the ammunition exploded, further escalating the blaze. The exact cause of fire has not yet been confirmed, though sources suggest a rocket attack may be the reason.
In a related incident, a Tata 709 truck belonging to the 131 Company of the BSF, stationed at Kanglatongbi, caught fire while moving towards the Ukhrul-Litan area on the stretch between Sekmai Police Station and the adjoining route. Despite the explosions and extensive damage to the vehicle, no casualties were reported.
Meanwhile, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, Mahadev Dada Nazirkar, was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the Pune–Solapur Highway in Indapur, Pune district, while returning home on leave. Police have yet to identify the vehicle involved as he was crossing the road.
