Security downgrade, Facebook suspension won’t silence me: Agha Ruhullah slams IIOJK administration

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior National Conference leader and Indian parliament member from Srinagar, Agha Ruhullah Mehdi, has launched a scathing attack on the administration under New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor and the police for attempting to intimidate him by withdrawing or downgrading his security cover and suspending his Facebook account.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a strongly worded statement issued in Srinagar, Ruhullah Mehdi termed the actions as “laughable”, saying that certain officials believed that such measures would prevent him from raising his voice against atrocities and violations of constitutional rights.
“Neither am I fascinated by these petty things nor scared by their absence around me,” he said, asserting that the withdrawal of security or restrictions on social media would not deter him.
He maintained that as a citizen of Kashmir, he would continue to exercise his constitutional right to speak against violations of law, freedom, and democracy.
Ruhullah further warned that such “foolish acts” would not silence him, declaring that he would remain steadfast in his stance “to the last drop of my blood.”
