Modi avoiding Parliament due to Epstein files, Adani case: Rahul Gandhi

BJP government has only false promises amid LPG crisis: Kharge

New Delhi: Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has expressed concern over the growing shortage of LPG in the country, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is asking people not to panic while he himself appears panicked for “completely different reasons”.

According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to reporters in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is panicked because of the Epstein files issue and the Adani case in the United States.

“The PM is saying there is no need to panic, but the PM himself has panicked for completely different reasons… he is panicked because of Epstein, he is panicked because of the Adani case, he is not able to come inside the House.” “You saw yesterday that the prime minister’s chair was empty. So, he is telling the country not to panic but has panicked himself,” Gandhi said.

Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, in a post on X, said that while the country is facing a severe crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy with election tours.

He said there is a severe shortage of cooking gas across the country, forcing people to stand in long queues. Numerous small and large industries are also suffering due to the failures of the BJP government, yet the government has no answers, only false promises, he added.

Mallikarjun Kharge further said that the failure of diplomacy is a serious matter and that the consequences of energy mismanagement are now being borne by the country’s 1.4 billion people. Taking a jibe at the prime minister, he said, “Modi ji, enough of Mann Ki Baat; please come to Parliament and speak about the real issues.”
