Several CRPF soldiers injured as their vehicle overturns in Odisha
Sambalpur: A vehicle of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) overturned in the Bargarh district of Odisha near the Atabira–Damdama bridge between Sambalpur and Bargarh, leaving several personnel injured.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the vehicle, carrying CRPF soldiers, was en route from a camp in Sambalpur to Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh when the driver lost control near the bridge. The vehicle rammed into the side wall and subsequently overturned.
Following the incident, local residents alerted the police and fire services, who rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured personnel, including the driver, were rescued and initially taken to the Attabira Community Health Centre for primary treatment.
Later, all the injured were shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, for further medical care.
The condition of the injured is yet to be ascertained.
