Kashmiri MP Engineer Rashid meets ailing father in Srinagar after interim bail

Srinagar: Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) Chairman in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and member of Lok Sabha, lower house of Indian parliament, from Baramulla Engineer Rashid, who was granted interim bail to meet his critically ill father, arrived in Srinagar to an emotional and rousing welcome at the airport road.
According to Kashmir Media Service, party activists and well-wishers gathered at different places at Srinagar airport road and later outside Shri Maharaja Hari Singh (SMHS) Hospital, expressing solidarity and support.
Engineer Rashid proceeded directly from the airport to the hospital.
Media reports said the moment turned deeply emotional when Engineer Rashid met his father, who is critically ill. The MP was seen breaking down and bursting into tears while embracing him, a scene that moved many present.
It is to be mentioned that Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted one-week bail to jailed Member of Parliament Engineer Rashid to visit his ailing father in Srinagar.
