Indian CRPF soldier commits suicide in IIOJK

Srinagar:An Indian paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier committed suicide in the Tral area of Pulwama district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased, identified as Bisva Navin Kumar of the 180th battalion, shot himself with his service rifle in the Ladiyar area of Tral. He was critically injured and taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

A senior Indian police official told media that an investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, and a case has been registered at Tral police station in this regard.

It is worth noting that suicides among Indian forces deployed in IIOJK have risen due to prolonged deployments, separation from families, extreme stress, and frustration. Despite the introduction of stress-relief initiatives, such incidents continue to occur among among Indian troops in the occupied territory.
