SIA attaches ancestral property of activist in Kupwara

Srinagar: Indian authorities have attached the ancestral property of a Kashmiri activist in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency (SIA) has attached the ancestral property measuring one kanal and 14.37 marlas belonging to Zameer Ahmad Lone in the Keran area of the district.
The actions are widely seen as part of a bigger conspiracy by the BJP regime under LG Manoj Sinha to economically cripple the local Kashmiri population.
Local residents said that the attachment and demolition of properties, including houses, shops, and land, is a campaign intended to alter the disputed territory’s demographic structure.
They said that properties are often seized under the pretext of continuing the occupation and spreading fear in IIOJK, and to silence activists struggling for the right to self-determination promised by India in United Nations resolutions.
