Indian CRPF man dies on duty in Shopian

Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force head constable from Hyderabad, India, died after collapsing while on duty at a camp in Zainapora, Shopian district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring the agonizing situation faced by troops in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Surinder Singh suddenly lost consciousness during duty hours at the Zainapora CRPF camp and was later declared dead despite immediate medical assistance.

Officials have initiated procedures to determine the exact cause of death, while the incident has saddened fellow personnel who paid tribute to his service.

Indian forces’ personnel deployed in the occupied territory often work under physically demanding and stressful conditions in sensitive operational areas, with the incident once again highlighting the pressures faced by troops serving in conflict-sensitive zones.
