Mission Statehood stages protest against power cuts in Jammu
Protesters call India to return Salal, Uri and Rattle hydel power projects to IIOJK

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, activists of Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) held a protest demonstration in Jammu against unscheduled power cuts and the prepaid metering system.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest was led by MSJK president Sunil Dimple near the city. The demonstrators raised slogans against the prepaid metering system and condemned frequent power outages even in areas with 100 percent metering.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple demanded 200 units of free electricity for IIOJK residents and called for the return of the Salal, Uri and Rattle hydel power projects to the territory. He also demanded royalty from electricity projects supplying power to Indian states and urged the authorities to provide free drinking water to the Kashmiri people.
Dimple warned of launching a mass agitation if unscheduled power curtailment was not stopped immediately.
Dev Raj, Ram Kumar Das, Mukesh Gupta, Vipan Gupta, Rakesh Sharma, Vicky Gupta, Bramu Sharma, Akbar Khan, Mohammad Shafi, Nazier Khan, Sudershan Sharma and several others participated in the protest.
