‘BJP reaping what it sowed’: Mehbooba Mufti on Rahul Gandhi’s remarks

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti said the BJP was facing the consequences of its own actions after years of labelling Muslims and secular people as traitors.
According to Kashmir Media Service, speaking to the media in Shopian, Mufti responded to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks calling Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah traitors.
She questioned the outcry over Gandhi’s statement, saying it was the BJP that first used such language against Muslims and secular individuals. Mufti added that houses of Muslims had been bulldozed without response, and noted that the party was now facing similar rhetoric in return. She said the BJP had sowed the seeds and was now being haunted by its own deeds.
