Pakistan’s rising geopolitical status punctures India’s “Vishwaguru”, “Vishwabandhu” Narrative

Islamabad: Pakistan’s mediation in the US-Iran war and rising geopolitical status punctured India’s “Vishwaguru” and “Vishwabandhu” image, while New Delhi appears trapped, reactive, and outclassed in the international arena.

According to Kashmir Media Service, India has been sidelined in Middle East peace talks, while frustration is growing within India over Pakistan’s rising diplomatic status.

For years, Modi’s foreign policy worked to “isolate Pakistan globally” and billions were poured into lobbying, media campaigns, and diplomatic theatrics, yet the effort suffered a spectacular failure as India’s own operations became a reason for Pakistan’s growing popularity.

Pakistan continues to enjoy warm partnerships with China, Iran, and the Gulf states, along with reinvigorated ties with the United States; far from isolating Pakistan, India increasingly finds itself isolated, while its so-called strategic partnership with the United States appears in shambles.

Indian efforts to make Pakistan a pariah state have boomeranged and exposed India as a country too arrogant to negotiate, yet too fragile to dominate.

The Modi government, which once basked in camaraderie with Iran, now finds itself on thin ice and staring at diplomatic isolation as Pakistan takes centre stage in peace talks.

The Indian External Affairs Minister claimed that “India is not a broker nation,” while Prime Minister Modi projected himself as a proponent and arbiter of peace during the Ukraine war, exposing inconsistencies in India’s foreign policy across different regions.
