Indian Army’s JCO injured in mine blast during patrol along LoC

Srinagar: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army was injured in a mine blast during a routine patrol in Jhangar along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred while an Army patrol was carrying out area domination and surveillance in the forward belt of Jhangar. During the patrol, a sudden explosion took place, injuring the JCO.
According to the report, the injured officer was identified as Naib Subedar Hiteshwar Gogoi of the 14 Assam Regiment.
Following the blast, fellow soldiers immediately shifted the injured officer to a nearby military medical facility for first aid. He was later referred to Command Hospital, Udhampur, for advanced treatment.
