Indian forces kill two persons in Chhattisgarh
Raipur: Indian troops killed two persons in disturbed Chhattisgarh state in India, today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the personnel of Indian Central Reserve Police Force and its elite unit Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), the state’s District Reserve Guard (DRG) and ‘Bastar Fighters’ and a Special Task Force (STF) during a massive search operation killed two persons near Pedia in Bijapur district of the state.
Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P talking to media men claimed that in an anti-Naxal operation two Naxalite were killed on Saturday in a forest under the Gangaloor police station area. The operation was carried out at the tri-junction of Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma districts, considered a Maoist bastion, he added.
Meanwhile, two Indian forces’ personnel, identified as Vikas Kumar Karma and Rakesh Kumar Markam, were critically injured in an IED blast in the neighbouring Sukma district, a police official said.
The Naxalites have been demanding independence from Indian bondage since decades.
