Man booked for using VPN on mobile phone in Rajouri
Jammu: A man in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district has been booked using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) application on his mobile phone.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mazhar Iqbal (30) from Dhanore Jaralan village was charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code at Darhal police station.
The incident follows an order by the Additional District Magistrate, Rajeev Kumar Khajuria, who suspended VPN services in the district. Police arrested Mazhar and found the VPN application on his phone.
This comes after another individual was previously booked in a similar violation.
