Owaisi raises concerns over surge in anti-Muslim violence across India
Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, Member of Parliament from Hyderabad and chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), has expressed alarm over the increasing incidents of violence against Muslims in various parts of India following the recent parliamentary elections.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement issued on his X handle, Owaisi pointed to specific instances of violence in Uttar Pradesh, where two Muslim clerics were murdered, and in Chhattisgarh, where two Muslims were lynched. He also condemned the demolition of Muslim homes by bulldozers in Akbarnagar, UP.
Owaisi questioned whether the Sangh Parivar was exacting revenge on the Muslim community for the electoral setbacks. He demanded action against the perpetrators of these atrocities and urged the authorities to take measures to ensure the safety and security of Muslims.
