Hindutva goons assault Muslim doctor in UP
New Delhi: In a disturbing incident, Hindu extremists brutally assaulted a 25-year-old Muslim doctor in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh state.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Istekhar, who operates a clinic in Asalatpura locality, was attacked by a mob of Hindutva activists at a petrol station in Moradabad city upon discovering his religion.
Journalist Zakir Ali Tiyagi criticized local police for trying to whitewashing the incident and delaying action against the attackers.
Meanwhile, in another shocking incident in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district, a Muslim woman was brutally assaulted. The incident, captured in a viral video, has sparked widespread community outrage over women’s security concerns in the region.
In a separate development, BJP member Yogesh Prakash has been arrested in Bareilly city of UP for posting an offensive photo of the Kaaba in Makkah, a holy site for the Muslims worldwide, on his Facebook page.
