Railway police brutally thrash Muslim youth in Bihar

Patna: A 25-year-old Muslim youth was severely beaten by Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel in Bihar state of India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the assault was so brutal that the victim’s intestine was exposed after his stomach was cut open at Janakpur Road Railway Station in Sitamarhi district.

The incident occurred when Mohammed Furqan, the victim, was at the railway station to drop off his aunt traveling to Mumbai. GRP personnel brutally beat Furqan with sticks after an altercation with a passenger over a berth. Despite Furqan’s pleas to avoid hitting his abdomen, which had undergone recent surgery, the policemen continued to thrash him mercilessly.

Furqan had undergone intestinal surgery two years ago. Due to the stick injury on the operated area, his stomach burst open on the left side, and an intestine was exposed.

A video of the incident has gone viral, triggering outrage on social media. The people present at the station vandalized Janakpur Road station in anger over the GRP personnel’s barbaric behavior.
