Two women injured in mysterious explosion in Kupwara

Srinagar: Two women were injured in a mysterious explosion in Kupwara district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the women, identified as Nahida Akther and Afroza Begum, were injured in a mysterious explosion near an Indian army camp in Gujarpatri area of the district, today.

Indian officials said that the injured women were initially taken to a hospital in Handwara and then referred to Srinagar for advanced medical care. Reportedly, the police are investigating the nature and cause of the blast.

Some reports suggest the explosion may have been caused by an anti-personnel landmine near the Indian army camp, with the women inadvertently becoming victims while walking in the area.
