Article: Kashmir an unfinished agenda of partition plan and jugular vein of Pakistan

Muhammad Sultan Butt

14 August is the most important, historical and day of jubilation for Pakistanis as it was the day when the struggle of Muslims of the subcontinent under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhmmad Ali Jinnah after unprecedented sacrifices finally bore fruit and their dream of separate homeland came true. It is the day when the Pakistani nation renews the pledge that they will protect their freedom, work for progress and prosperity and make Pakistan a real welfare Islamic state. On this day the Pakistani nation also remembers and pays tribute to those heroes who sacrificed everything in the Pakistan movement. Besides Pakistanis, Kashmiris also commemorate this day with great jubilation, zeal, fervor and enthusiasm and pray for the stability and prosperity of this country.

The unconditional love for Pakistan is rooted deep into the hearts and minds of the Kashmiri people and Pakistan is the center of hope for them. Kashmiris believe that Pakistan is a blessing and gift of Almighty Allah for the Muslims and it is the final destiny of Kashmiris. They observe it as thanksgiving day and pray for freedom of Kashmir from Indian slavery.

It is an undeniable fact that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of the partition plan of the subcontinent. According to two nation theory and golden principles laid down in the partition plan of 3rd June 1947 which is also known as Indian Independence act, Kashmir was a natural part of Pakistan.

The state of Jammu and Kashmir was geographically, historically, culturally and ethnically part of Pakistan but India’s policy of deceit and deception, expansionism and perpetual denial to implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir have pushed the region into a quagmire of uncertainty.

Kashmiris who were part and parcel of the Pakistan movement decided to join Pakistan even before its emergence. July 19 is an important milestone in this regard when true representatives of Kashmiris through a unanimous resolution decided to accede to Pakistan. This resolution demonstrates Kashmiris unconditional love for Pakistan. It is also a reflection of an unbreakable relationship between the Kashmiri people and Pakistan.

The current freedom movement is basically continuation of the Pakistan movement as Kashmiris not only supported and buttressed the movement but also participated actively shoulder to shoulder with the founder of Pakistan in it. Quaid-e-Azam had great love for Kashmiris and rightly termed Kashmir as a juggler vein of Pakistan. When he visited Srinagar people of Kashmir thronged to streets for grand welcome to their beloved leader. It was the burning desire of Quaid-e-Azam to see Kashmir as part of Pakistan.

It is our belief that ‘K’ in the word of Pakistan stands for Kashmir and Pakistan will only be complete when Kashmir will get freedom from Indian slavery and accede to Pakistan. Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one nation and their hearts throb in unison. They are tied in strong, religious, cultural, geographical and historical bonds and no power on earth can separate them as they are indispensable to each other. The future of Kashmiris will only be secured if they become part of Pakistan.

Love for Pakistan is in the blood of Kashmiris which India had failed to eliminate despite employing brute force having no parallel across the world. Even today in presence of over one million trigger happy Indian troops Kashmiri youths wave Pakistani flags in front of Indian bullets and bayonets and whole Kashmir reverberates with pro-Pakistani slogans. Furthermore coffins of martyrs are draped with Pakistani flags. Becoming part of Pakistan is the dream of Kashmiris and they are determined to accomplish this mission at all cost.

Pakistan is the benefactor and real ambassador of Kashmiris and its unequivocal and unflinching and unwavering support is the source of strength and encouragement for oppressed people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan is the only hope for Kashmiris as it is consistently supporting the Kashmir cause since its inception. The untiring diplomatic efforts of Pakistan have undoubtedly internationalized Kashmir. Kashmir is the main pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy. Despite Indian aggression on many occasions in the past seven decades, Pakistan remained steadfast and stood with Kashmiris like a solid rock. The uncompromising stand of Pakistan has unnerved India and it is conspiring to destabilize Pakistan.

Today Hindutva forces are hell bent to wipe out and annihilate Kashmiri Muslims. It has deployed over one million troops to conquer them. It is using every brutal method to suppress them and punish them for demanding the right to self-determination. It is using its parliament, civil administration, intelligence agencies, probe institutions and judiciary to penalize Kashmiris and impose its Hindutva culture on them.

Since 5 August 2019 after abolishing the special status of Kashmir, it has intensified its efforts to change the demography of the region. New Delhi is working on the Israeli model. It is settling Indian Hindus, allocating them Kashmiri land. The properties of Kashmiris are confiscated under different excuses. Kashmiri Muslim employees are sacked from government jobs, names of historic Muslims places are changed. This all is being done to alter the demography and safronize Kashmir forever.

In this critical stage when lives, honor, culture and everything of Kashmiris is at stake and they face threat to their existence, Pakistan is the only hope for freedom-loving Kashmiris. No doubt Pakistan’s consistent diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris is commendable. It is a source of strength and encouragement for Kashmiris. Kashmiri people pray for the stability of Pakistan as they believe that militarily and economically stable Pakistan is indispensable for the success of the Kashmir freedom movement. It is the need of the hour to go beyond diplomatic, political and moral support and take practical steps to save Kashmiris from total extinction.

The valiant Kashmiris continue their epic struggle against all odds. They can be killed but not defeated. Their passion for freedom is indomitable and invincible. India has deployed its one million troops to crush them but Kashmiris believe that if India deploys its entire army in Kashmir and uses all resources still shameful defeat is its destiny. Each action in Kashmir further solidifies Kashmiris belief that India is their worst enemy. It has no feeling for Kashmiris and is only interested in the land of Kashmiris. Under Indian subjugation, Kashmiris unique identity, culture, religion and everything is unsafe. Even the Indian Muslims, after witnessing the ugly face of Hindutva prejudice, are now are convinced that Quaid-e-Azam was a prudent leader who foresaw hegemonic designs of Hindu leaders.
