Indian troops arrest youth in Kupwara
Srinagar: Indian troops arrested a youth in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel from Indian army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrested the youth during a search operation in the Unisoo area of the district.
The detainee has been identified as Ishfaq Majeed. Indian officials have justified his arrest by alleging that he was in contact with pro-freedom activists and claiming that arms and ammunition were recovered from him. Such measures are frequently employed in IIOJK as part of a broader strategy to detain more Kashmiris.
