Seminar at Patika boys college sheds light on India’s 1947 military invasion
Muzaffarabad: The Institute of Multi-Track Dialogue, Development & Diplomatic Studies hosted a seminar, “Indian Military Invasion: A Threat to Freedom Struggle,” at Govt Degree College Boys Patika, Muzaffarabad.
According to Kashmir Media Service, students from across Neelam Valley gathered to explore Kashmir’s complex history.
Speakers highlighted India’s double-barrel assault, deceit, and sabotage in occupying Kashmir, a Muslim-majority state and former independent princely state. They emphasized the contrast between India’s peaceful rhetoric and military actions.
Experts, including Dr. Waleed Rasool, Director of International Relations at IDS, shed light on Maharaja’s Stand Still agreement with Pakistan, India’s precondition-filled response, Pandit Nehru’s dual strategy, UN involvement and Kashmiri leadership’s imprisonment.
The seminar aimed to educate youth about India’s propaganda and Kashmir’s ongoing struggle for freedom.
