Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has condemned the Indian government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for being the primary obstacle to peace in the South Asian region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagr asserted that the RSS-driven policies of the Indian regime pose a serious threat to regional harmony and stability.
“For decades, India has obstructed a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute,” Minhas stated, emphasizing that lasting peace in South Asia remains unattainable until the Kashmir conflict is addressed according to the wishes of its people. He pointed to the actions taken by the Modi government on August 5, 2019, as a clear demonstration of its disregard for regional stability, which he described as a pivotal moment worsening tensions in the area.
Minhas further highlighted that India’s brutal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, coupled with its aggressive stance, are major barriers to peace in the territory. He noted that since Modi assumed power in India, threats to regional peace have escalated dramatically, contributing to ongoing instability.
“The South Asian region will continue to suffer from unrest due to India’s confrontational approach toward its neighbors,” he warned. Minhas also mentioned that Pakistan has consistently drawn attention to India’s disruptive influence in the region on various international platforms.
He called on the global community to recognize India’s role as a significant impediment to peace in South Asia, urging for collective action to address these issues and promote a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict. KMS-8K
