Srinagar: In a tragic road accident in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, two brothers lost their lives when their truck plunged into a deep gorge on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the truck skidded off the road near the Battery Chashma and fell into a 700-foot deep gorge. The truck, loaded with iron rods, was traveling from Jammu to the Kashmir Valley.
The deceased were identified as 16-year-old Yasir Imtiaz Khan and 22-year-old Danish Imtiaz Khan, hailing from the Baramulla district of IIOJK.
Meanwhile, the throat-slit body of a Kashmiri youth was found at his rented accommodation in the Srinagar district of IIOJK. The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Naikoo (24), S/O Gh Mohd Naik, a resident of Kokernag, Islamabad, who was currently residing in the Amda Kadal area of Srinagar.
Authorities reported that the body was spotted at his rented accommodation, and the police soon arrived at the scene and took the body into their custody. They said the post-mortem has been conducted, and further investigation is underway.
