Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz pays tribute to Kashmiri martyrs on Kashmir Solidarity Day

Lahore: The Punjab Information and Culture Department organized a special ceremony to express solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif participated in the ceremony at Liberty Chowk, Lahore, where she illuminated candles and laid a floral tribute at the Martyrs’ Memorial in honor of the Kashmiri martyrs. During the event, a symbolic moment of silence was observed, and prayers were offered for the martyrs of Kashmir.

The event featured a photo wall dedicated to Kashmir, along with the installation of a Martyrs’ Wall and a Hurriyat Kashmir billboard at Liberty Chowk. Additionally, a symbolic prison was created with images of Kashmiri freedom leaders and martyrs enclosed by bars. Several banners showcasing the atrocities and brutality of Indian forces in Kashmir were also displayed. The ISPR’s specially prepared song for Kashmir Solidarity Day was also played during the ceremony.

Similar rallies and seminars were held in Faisalabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, and other areas of Punjab.

Speakers at the event reiterated their firm resolve to support the Kashmiri freedom movement, pledging to persist in their struggle until the last Indian soldier departs from the occupied territory. They emphasized that Pakistanis and Kashmiris are united as one, and no force in the world can break this bond.
