Indian army man shoots himself in Srinagar

Srinagar: An Indian army man shot himself dead in Srinagar city of the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian solider identified as Satyajeet Kandhol, shot himself dead with his service rifle in the Badami Bagh Cantonment of the city.

According to initial reports, soldier took his life though the reasons behind his extreme step remain unclear while an inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances leading to his death, a police officer claimed in Srinagar.

This has raise the total number of such deaths among Indian army, police and paramilitary forces to 621 in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir since January 2007.
