Barrister Sultan calls for continued struggle for freedom from Indian occupation

New York: The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, stated that the Kashmiri people have been engaged in a long-standing, peaceful struggle against India’s illegal occupation and called for the continuation of their struggle for freedom.

According to Kashmir Media Service, , Barrister Sultan while addressing a reception in New York before departing for London at the end of his U.S. visit remarked that despite United Nations resolutions granting Kashmiris the right to self-determination, the people of Kashmir are still deprived of their inalienable right.

He further emphasized that the Kashmiri diaspora in the U.S. has always played a crucial role in raising international awareness about the Kashmir issue. At this critical juncture, he called upon the Kashmiri community in the U.S. to continue raising their voices on every platform for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and against the ongoing Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Barrister Sultan highlighted the dire situation faced by the Kashmiri people in occupied Kashmir due to Indian oppression. He made it clear that India cannot weaken the Kashmiris’ spirit of freedom through cruelty and violence, and that the day is not far when the Kashmiris will achieve freedom from Indian rule.

The President AJK urged the international community to play its part in resolving the Kashmir dispute and ending the ongoing Indian atrocities in IIOJK.
