Need of hour to stop India from total annihilation of Kashmiris: APHC

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that at a time when the Hindutva BJP government has besieged the Kashmiri people with one million Indian troops, who are marauding and brutalizing them day in and day out, it is the need of the hour to stop India from carrying out the total annihilation of Kashmiris.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, warned that the localt chapter of the BJP regime led by LG Manoj Sinha is using every brutal method and conspiracy to impose Hindutva ideology on the Kashmiri people.

“At this critical stage, Kashmiris hope that Pakistan will expedite its diplomatic efforts and apprise the world about the impending holocaust in occupied Kashmir,” he said. He urged the international community to shun its criminal silence and come forward to save humanity, which is on the verge of disaster in the occupied territory.

The APHC, while denouncing the gross violations of fundamental rights of the people, pointed out that the BJP government cannot crush the spirit of freedom of the people of Kashmir by resorting to killings, arrests, torture, property confiscation, and the banning of political parties and historical books in the territory. It reaffirmed that Kashmiris will not relent in their struggle to liberate their homeland from Indian clutches and will never allow the BJP-RSS Hindutva agenda to succeed in the territory.

The statement said that the Kashmiri people are united to defeat the BJP-led Hindutva designs in the occupied territory and the day is not far when the sun of freedom will rise in Kashmir.

The APHC demanded early intervention by the United Nations to stop the unabated human rights abuses being committed by Indian occupation forces with impunity. It said that it is the moral, political and legal obligation of the United Nations to impress upon India to fulfill its commitment under the UN Security Council resolutions to allow a free and fair plebiscite for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
