Reality beyond slogans: Observers question India’s claims as Pakistan’s hospitality stands out

Islamabad,: A growing contrast is being highlighted between Pakistan’s cultural hospitality and India’s projected global image, with observers arguing that ground realities often diverge from official narratives.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Pakistan’s hospitality is not a campaign line. It is a lived social reflex. A guest is not evaluated, filtered or priced. They are received with dignity, offered space and treated as a responsibility. It is embedded behavior shaped by culture, not optics.
In contrast, India, particularly under Narendra Modi, projects a polished global image built around phrases like “Guests are Gods.” Yet repeated incidents contradict that claim. Visitors are scrutinized, questioned, sometimes penalized for expression and often reduced to transactions.
Observers say this is not about isolated events but about patterns. Pakistani society internalizes respect as a default, while India markets it as a message. The difference, they argue, is not subtle but visible, repeatable, and increasingly difficult to ignore.
