Indian Army JCO, policeman die in Baramulla

Srinagar: An Indian Army Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) died in Baramulla district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the JCO died after accidentally slipping during a night operation in the upper forest belt of Hamam Markoot in Rafiabad. The deceased officer was identified as Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey of 32 Rashtriya Rifles, affiliated with P/Unit 3/9 GR.

Meanwhile, an Indian policeman identified as Jalal-ud-Din Sada of Pattan, posted in Sopore, also died. Separately, a man identified as a resident of Shalpora, Baramulla was found hanging inside his room under suspicious circumstances in the Chattabal area of Srinagar. He was working at a milk factory in the area.

In another incident, nearly 90 sheep and goats belonging to a nomadic family from Rajouri district reportedly died after a lightning strike during the intervening night in a high-altitude forest area of Poshkar, Kangan in Ganderbal district.
