Eight tourists killed after vehicle falls into gorge in Maharashtra

New Delhi: At least eight tourists were killed after their vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in Maharashtra’s Raigad district on Monday, officials said.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the vehicle, travelling from the Konkan region to Satara, lost control and fell nearly 1,000 feet into a valley in the hilly Ambenali Ghat area.
Rescue operations are underway, with teams facing difficulties due to the depth and challenging terrain. So far, three bodies have been recovered and sent for post-mortem, while efforts continue to locate and retrieve the remaining victims.
