Indian police arrest one person in IIOJK’s Ganderbal

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian police have arrested a Kashmiri individual in Ganderbal district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the police arrested a man identified as Abrar Ahmed from a checkpoint in the Nagbal area of the district and later shifted him to the police station.
Police claimed that the arrest was made on allegations of drug peddling.
It is worth mentioning that under the so-called anti-narcotics campaign launched by the New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor’s administration, a fresh wave of actions have been initiated aimed at depriving Kashmiris of their homes and land. Besides, young people are increasingly being targeted and arrested on a large scale on the basis of drug-related allegations.
